On behalf of Soban Singh Jeena University Pt. Badridutt Pandey Campus Bageshwar, I am highly pleased to welcome all the stake holders of the College with a view to providing higher educational facilities to the youth of the area. Govt. Degree College was established in Bageshwar in 1974 and later it was upgraded to PG college. After 3 decades as of now along with Arts,Science and commerce faculties, We are providing employment - oriented vocational courses. Computer training and Yoga facility are available in the college. Marching on the path of progress subjects are available at the PG Level, in extra curricular activities- NSS, NCC, Games & Sports and Rovers Ranger programs are available for both girls and boys. Separate Girls and Boys hostel are in the College campus. We are running self financed B. Ed. Course from session 2008-09, PG Diploma in yoga & alternate therapy, Diploma in Office Management and Secretarial Practice. We are running some very useful courses/programmes in our college under convergence scheme of IGNOU and Uttarakhand Open University. We are also planning to establish IGNOU regular study centre in our college. Recently, during April 8-10, 2013; NAAC Peer Team visited our institution for re-accreditation.
I am confident that we will be more active, thoughtful, studious and successful in this session.
